The sesame is a herbaceous plant originating from India which produces a pod-shaped fruit containing around 80 tiny black, red or white oil-bearing seeds. When ripe, the fruit bursts open, to offer the people of Asia, the Middle East and Africa for thousands of years the numerous benefits of its precious seeds: the oil they contain is widely used in oriental cuisine and very popular for its benefits on the skin.
